Modern advancements in Implantology as well as in Endodontics are now able to provide successful treatment options that suit patients’ wishes and clinicians’ capabilities. Literature review and Clinical Evidence indicate that Endodontically treated teeth as well as Dental Implants can be equal treatment of choice in a wide variety of clinical situations.

Goal of the present work is to provide evidence of the extremely high potential of both treatment modalities and to discuss when one treatment option has to be preferred over the other one. The decision making process requires in depth knowledge of advantages, disadvantages, risk, cost, consequences of each treatment modality.

The result of this should be actually presented to the final destinatary of our service that is our patient with the ultimate goal to accomplish an informed decision according to personal needs and wishes.
